The Card Game of War
Bingo is a great way to relax and also to win lots of money. That is if the bingo hall you play in has big jackpots. But I also enjoy many other games besides bingo, and I want to share all the obscure games as well as all the major casino games here at this strictly bingo site. But now it will not be so strict will it?
One of my favorite games to be played is the game of War. Now there is a casino version of this game which is almost the exact same but we are going to cover the version I learned at the day care some time ago.
The Rules
In the basic game of War there are two players using a standard 52 card pack. Cards are as usual from high to low: A K Q J T 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2. Suits are ignored.
Deal all the cards alternately, so that each player has half the deck or 26 cards. Do not look at your cards but make them neat like the deck. The object of the game is to be the player holding all the cards.
The Start
Now both players turn the top card of their pile face up on the table. The player that has the highest card showing takes both cards and adds them face down to the bottom of their deck.
The War
Players continue to play in this manner until there is a War, equality between the cards or doubles. When doubles occur, each player plays one more card face down and then flips one more over face up on the table. They compare and the player with the higher card wins and takes all the cards, even the face down cards. If instead there is another War, then play continues like this until there is a winner of the war.
The Conclusion
The game of War continues until one player has all the cards and wins.
If you do not have enough cards to participate in a war then you lose. If you play your last card to win a war then you continue playing. If neither player has enough cards to finish the war then the player that has run out of cards first, loses.
If both players run out of cards at the same time, and they are equal the game is a draw.
