Popular Versions of Texas Holdem: Progressive Holdem Progressive Holdem is played according to Texas Holdem rules, but with two exceptions: There are no blind bets, like in Home Holdem, and the betting structure is more similar to Let It Ride poker. The players do not do normal betting decisions like call, bet, raise or fold, but instead prepare four stacks of chips with each one of them larger than the previous one. For example, these stacks can be 50 cents, 1 dollar, 1.50 dollar and 2 dollars. In the first betting round after the initial deal each player is given a choice to either fold or to place his smallest stack into the pot. In the second betting round after the flop, players either fold or bet their second stack. After the turn players fold or use their third stack, and finally, after the river players can place their largest, fourth stack or fold. Irish Holdem Irish Holdem is played like Omaha Holdem with one exception that after the flop, every player discards two of his four hole cards. The rest of the game is played like Texas Holdem, with two hole cards and five community cards. Super Eight Super Eight game is completely equal to Texas Holdem, but three instead of two hole cards are dealt in the beginning. PineApple PineApple is the same as Super Eight, but one of three hole cards must be discarded after the first betting round, leaving two hole cards per player for the rest of the game. Crazy PineApple Crazy PineApple is PineApple game where one of the hole cards is discarded after the flop and not before it. Tahoe Tahoe is not any different from Super Eight, but players can use only two of three hole cards to form the final five card hand.
